GREENHUNTER ENERGY WIND SUBSIDIARY
HIRES STEPHEN A. WILEY

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, August 22, 2007, Wind Hunter, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GreenHunter Energy, Inc., announced today the hiring of Stephen A. Wiley as Senior Vice President and Development Manager.

Mr. Wiley, age 46, was previously with Gamesa Energy USA, responsible for development of wind energy projects in the United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Kansas) for this world-wide wind turbine manufacturer and developer.  The US office of Gamesa Energy has successfully developed three projects in Texas over the 2007/2008 time frame which represent approximately 400 MW of wind energy capacity.

Mr. Wiley has been in the power generation business all of his adult career having been previously employed with Reliant Energy, Dynegy and he also worked with Calpine and El Paso Corporation.  He was responsible for project financing in power generation in the US, Europe, Latin America and Australia.  He was also previously involved in a number of power generation projects throughout the U.S., as well as Brazil, Chile and Colombia. 

Commenting on Stephen Wiley joining the GreenHunter Energy management team, Mr. Gary C. Evans, Chairman and CEO, stated “as we continue to build out our portfolio of renewable assets, Stephen will be instrumental in providing the knowledge and insight on our power generation facilities that are part of our Company’s strategic plan. This will include wind, biomass and biodiesel engine power generation.  He has worked for one of the largest wind project developers in the world which will also allow us to utilize his talents as we expand into the international markets.”

Mr. Wiley holds a Masters of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.

Wind Hunter currently has ownership interest in six wind projects under various forms of preliminary development located in the states of Montana, California, and New Mexico.

GreenHunter Energy is building the country’s largest biodiesel refinery on the Houston Ship Channel and owns an 18.5 MW biomass project located in the Imperial Valley of southern California.
